First Ever Fifa 20 eSports Tournament In MALTA

This Year, Malta is hosting its first ever eSports FIFA 20 tournament where players are set to compete from their homes for a place in the biggest stage. This tournament has attracted most of the Maltese gamers , which they will be given the chance to represent all the 14 clubs from the BOV Premier League.

After the Qualifiers, The 14 players that have made it to the tournament, where given a different club which they will represent throughout the league. These games are to be played every Thursday , starting from the beginning of April.

The 14 players that have made it the tournament will be representing these clubs as follows:

  • Dunstan Vella (Hibernians FC)
  • Ryan Cauchi (Tarxien Rainbows FC)

  • Michael Owen Micallef (Floriana Fc)
  • Ryan Micallef ( Senglea Athletic FC)
  • Luke Bartolo (Mosta FC)
  • Manuel Schembri (Gudja United FC)
  • Ryan Galea (Birkirkara FC)
  • Rudy Grech (Sirens FC)

These 14 players will battle it out in a 2 legged game , where every game allocates 3 points to the winner, so every players has a chance to gain 6 points against the same opponent. All the players will play a total of 26 games where the player with the highest points will be crowned the winner.


After the tournament, a knockout will be taking place where all the players will be playing against the opponent that are drawn against. This is a straight elimination tournament so the player that comes on top qualify for the next stage and the loser will be eliminated from the competition.

It is a tournament that the whole nation is waiting to watch this most prestigious competition and everyone is hoping for an exhibition of good football overall.
